Care dataWhen you use ProxIsle
When a care provider uses ProxIsle, including for a free check, the provider is the data controller for the information it shares with us, and Oparas Ltd acts as its data processor. We only process that information on the provider's written instructions, under a data processing agreement signed before any files are shared.
We work with the minimum information needed to check hours and payments: service user reference numbers, council orders, hours delivered, invoices and remittances. We do not need care notes or health records.
Oparas Ltd holds Cyber Essentials certification and has completed the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
Sharing and storageWho else is involved
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as our email and website hosting providers, under contracts that require them to protect it.
If any of these providers process information outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless it leads to a working relationship, in which case we keep it for as long as that relationship and our legal obligations require.
